In 2026, Lahore Karahi launched its first franchise programme after 30 years of operation. It is now looking to expand and is offering potential franchisee three formats - full-service restaurant, express and dark kitchen/kiosk.
A company spokesman said: “What started as a family-run restaurant has grown into a much-loved name. Today, Lahore Karahi is recognised on top curry house lists across London, serving loyal customers who return time and again.
“With nearly 30 years of proven success, Lahore Karahi is more than just a restaurant - it’s a trusted name in authentic Pakistani dining. Why franchise with Lahore Karahi
- Initial franchise fee is £18,000-£22,000, with average total set-up costs £50,000-£10,000 for dark kitchens, £150,000-plus for express formats and £250,000-plus for full-service restaurants. Working capital required is £20,000 and royalty fees are £2,000 per month plus VAT.
- Dark kitchens/kiosks are compact, delivery-focused operations for high-volume online markets, while express locations are streamlined dine-in and takeaway formats ideal for busy high streets, and full service restaurants offer a premium dining experience as well as “the full Lahore Karahi experience” – all backed by a central production unit kitchen (CPU).

- Flagship annual store revenue is projected as £4m, with a 15-205 profit margin. The company said: “We provide full training and a detailed operations manual covering everything from recipes and kitchen processes to customer service and financial systems.
- “We welcome multi-unit developers and encourage franchisees to scale across different formats. You’ll receive pre-opening support, launch assistance, national and local marketing campaigns, and continuous operational guidance from our team.”
