Better burger business Side Street Burgers was founded by Josh Ryan in 2020 and has since grown to ten venues, most recently opening in Tottenham - in May 2026 - for its fourth site in the capital, joining its other London locations in Newham, Walthamstow and Whitechapel. Side Street also had three sites in Scotland (Bonnyrigg, Dundee and Edinburgh), two in Greater Manchester (Bolton and Rochdale) and one in Bedford.

Why franchise with Side Street Burgers

• ✓The initial franchise fee is £15,000 plus VAT. There will be a shop fit fee of £60,000, but this will depend on the size and condition of your chosen Side Street Burger premises. Two franchise models are available – owner operator and multi-site development agreement. Franchisees will be provided with initial training at the Side Street Burgers head office and ongoing support alongside marketing materials and social media support. The franchise package includes use of the established brand and business model in an exclusive territory, comprehensive training and ongoing support, franchise operations manual, site acquisition assistance, full specifications and brand guidelines to fit out, launch marketing campaign and further marketing assistance, regular menu development and new product launches. We offer a full comprehensive training programme and ongoing support to ensure you are fully equipped to run your Side Street restaurant to its full potential. All franchisees are required to attend an extensive training programme, providing you with how to operate your restaurant from everything to operations and finances. Upon completion, you will be fully equipped to take the next steps. Since launch, we have built up a strong reputation for serving only the best quality products. Our brand has been carefully curated into the current position with a clear plan laid out for the future roll-out. As a franchisee, you’ll be joining us on this journey and reaping the rewards associated. We’ll be working alongside you to provide the appropriate marketing for your new store, not only at pre-launch and launch, but continuously ongoing to ensure you attract and retain your target customers.”
