About Scooperb
Ice cream/dessert lounge concept founded in 2017 in Rayners Lane, Middlesex, by Deepali Prabhu, the owner of nine Cake Box franchises in the UK. A second restaurant opened in early 2020, in nearby Alperton, before covid “gave us a lot of time to think about where we would like to see our business in the next three to five years”, according to Prabhu. Scooperb’s franchise model was launched in 2022 followed by a third location, in Hounslow, in west London. A first franchisee opening and first outside the capital followed in July 2022, in Basingstoke, while a fifth site opened, in Watford, in October 2022. It now has 11 sites - having expanded as far as Southampton, Basingstoke and Hatfield - offering ice creams, milkshakes, waffles, crepes, sorbets, sundaes, brownies and falooda - all with “a taste of India in every bite” through spice forward flavours (such as lychee, sitaphal and chickoo) and creamy textures. In December 2024, Scooperb partnered with franchise consultant Nil Naik, former franchise director for brands including Chaiiwala, Doner Shack, Coffee Republic and Hero Brands, and unveiled plans for 100-plus UK sites plus international expansion. “With 11 thriving locations across the UK, Scooperb is setting its sights on exponential growth, aiming for 100-plus stores domestically and ambitious expansion into international markets, including the GCC, African subcontinents, Canada and the USA,” Naik said. “What makes Scooperb a standout opportunity? Low build costs starting from just £100,000-£150,000, including equipment; extremely favourable terms for franchisees; low labour and royalty costs, ensuring higher profitability; and a proven, scalable model with wide appeal. We’re looking to partner with multi-unit franchise operators to establish Scooperb’s presence in East London, Birmingham, Bristol, Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.”
