About Salad Box

Salad Box was founded by Dan Isai and a group of friends in Romania in 2011 with the aim of offering Romanians lifestyle-based healthy food at affordable prices. The first Salad Bar opened in 2012, in Cluj-Napoca, followed by a further 12 within a year, and in 2014, opened its first international restaurant, in Hungary. Within a few years, it had 50 outlets in Romania, and between 2016 and 2018, spread to the UK, US, France, Italy, Spain and Netherlands among other countries. It now has a presence in 21 countries, with more than 70 franchised and company-owned outlets. As well as several different salad combinations, it offers cream soups, smoothies and desserts. “For me, it’s important that people finally have a place where they can come and have a healthy meal at an affordable price, and the fact that their numbers keep growing”, said Isai.
