The heritage brand joined Cake Box Holdings in March 2025 following a £22 million acquisition that included its Welwyn Garden City manufacturing facility.

At acquisition, Ambala operated 22 UK stores, including three franchised outlets. A renewed franchise programme launched in July 2025, supported by Cake Box’s retail and franchising experience.
